Easy Four Triangle Poncho

Here is the pattern I used, size is about 30 inch chest for a young teen, if you need another size, please let me know your swatch and what size your looking to make and email me.

I did work up a Mock Garter Stitch for the bottom and top hems, that was nothing more than one row at TD5 and then one row at TD10, repeating these for 5 rows.  I did have to steam that area for it to lie flat but the top part was good, even with a little curl there, I liked that touch but for the bottom, I wanted that flat as in the Stockinet Stitch.

  1. Cast on 96 stitches TD3 and knit 1 row
  2. TD 10, knit 1 row
  3. Continue changing TD every row until 5 or 7 rows of mock garter stitch, turn work
  4. Dec 1 stitch at each end of every 3rd row 24 times, then every 4th row 13 times to total 22 stitches
  5. Knit to row 127
  6. Work 6 rows of rib to bring in neck and maybe even turn TD down every row
  7. Bind off loosely
