What I did was to use my number 1 card in the bulky machine with number 4 yarn and Tension Dial set to 5.
Cast on 101 sts
Knit 1 row plain
Set cam to Tuck and knit 200 rows
Knit 1 row plain and bind off
In the end I didn't cut the yarn but took off the machine and then did a crochet shell stitch around the blanket.
This is really not needed but makes it look a little nicer is all
As you see in the 2 photos, I have it turned on one corner to see the back side of the blanket
