I started out with 78 stitches and many rows of WY and a row of ravel cord and a knitter cast on comb
E-Wrap Cast on
Knit 1 row on knitter only to the left
Then I put my triangle hangers on with the large barrel weights
Put 19 needles to Hold opposite the carriage and set carriage to Hold
Knit across, then take last stitch that was knitted and put that needle to HP
Repeat last 2 steps
Now you will Reverse Short Row 1 needle, Knit across, put last stitch that was knitted to HP until all stitches are in WP
Next you will Short Row until you have the same stitches you started out with in Work and the end 20 needles in HP
Put needles opposite the carriage to FWP, Knit across
Put other needles opposite carriage to FWP or take carriage off of Hold
What I did here was put the TD up to 8 or maybe 10 and knitted the last row so that I could latch tool Bind Off
Knit across
If you had not knitting the last row as mentioned above, then do your favorite Bind Off here
Take the last stitch and hang on a needle, hang 3 other stitches and work up 70 rows of plain knit or set your carriage to slip one way and knit the other way for an I-Cord
Bind Off, weave in all yarn tails and your done
Then Second Hat
Then the next one I cast on 70 stitches but worked the short rows the same.
Remember, if you are making these or
any item for donations, you can donate them to your local churches (do
not have to be a member there), any homeless shelter, food pantries,
hospitals and local schools. Do not be a fool when someone else takes
your items and donates or even sells them for their recognition and not
yours or even a profit that they never made the items.
