TD6 Bulky 4 stitches 6 rows = 1"
I used Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn
For a size 1 dress
CO 78 stitches.
Knit 1 row.
Below is the lace I did or just do another lace that will help to stop the curl compared to plain
Stockinet Stitch. Garter St may work out, but for a flat bed machine, that may be a bit tedious.
Work 36 rows Plain.
Now take off with Garter Bar and decrease stitches in half (39 stitches). If you don't have a garter bar, then you need to work up some rows of WY and then
remove off your machine.
Keep center half the NDLs in WP, so you will push back one quarter on each side back to NWP. In this case it would be L20 to R19.
Hang 2 stitches on each NDL.
For those using a ribber, now transfer EOS to the ribber, for the flat bed machines, you will have to reform the first few rows on the outside but then when the armhole decrease is done, you can just knit up to the neckline and then reform to rib. Or just knit plain if you wish.
K 2 rows plain.
BO 2 stitches at the beg of next 2 rows. 37 stitches
Dec 1 stitch Every Other Row each side 3 times. 31 stitches
Work even until bodice measures 1 3/4".
BO center 9 stitches, leaves 10 stitches each side. Now you will work up one side at a time. Note RC here.
Continue with rib until bodice measures 4 1/2".
Work buttonhole on center stitch (in my photo, I did have 2 buttons per strap), just transfer 1
stitch over, and leave empty NDL in work to create eyelet buttonhole/
Work 3 more rows and BO your favorite way.
Put counter to what you noted above.
Repeat for the other side.
Now for the front, you will work up the same but no buttonhole.
Sew up side seams. Crochet around the armhole (I did a scallop crochet stitch),
slip stitch on the ends of the straps, crochet around the neck edge.
Weave in any ends. Sew on button.
I started out with 1 stitch, knit one row, then increased both sides EOR until I had enough stitches, maybe about 19. Then I worked up the top half
separately to make the top of the heart. I decreased on both sides of that half until I had about 5 to 3
stitches left then bound off. Repeated for the other top half. Then I believe I did a single crochet around the heart to make it look nicer.
Gauge: 4 stitches per inch, 6 rows per inch
Cast On 57 stitches.
Work up the lace from chart below
Work until piece measures 7" or desired length from the cast-on edge.
On the next row, transfer EOS over to the neighboring needle with 1
stitch along on the end, 29 stitches
Knit 3 rows.
Cut yarn leaving a generous tail. Draw tail through remaining stitches. I will start sewing the top 4 or 5 rows before I pull gently to close hole and then sew the rest of the seam. Weave in all yarn tails.

Heart Pocket
For the doll in the pocket
I will have to work on that, so keep checking back. Or if you find or have a small doll pattern, just knit it up and put into pocket
