Twelve stitch repeat Fan and Feather
> Move the stitch to the Right
< Move the stitch to the Left
Cast on L12 - R12
K 2 rows
Then transfer each stitch from 1st needle to the 2nd needle in each box.
| R11 > R12 | R9 > R10 | R2 <R1 | R4 < R3 |
| L2 > L1 | L4 > L3 | L9 < L10 | L11 < L12 |
Then transfer these
| R10 > R11 | R3 < R2 | L3 > L2 | L10 < L11 |
And then do these transfers
| R8 > R9 | R5 < R3 | R6 < R5 |
| L5 > L4 | L8 < L10 | L7 < L8 |
K 4 rows
Repeat the transfers and 4 rows until done.
18 Stitch Repeat of Fan and Feather
< move to the left
> move to the right
Cast on 36 stitches, from L18 - R18
Knit 2 or more rows.
Take each box and transfer the first stitch to the new NDL for each box.
| R17 > R18 | R15 > R16 | R13 > R14 |
| R2 < R1 | R4 < R3 | R6 <R5 |
| L2 > L1 | L4 > L3 | L6 > L5 |
| L17 < L18 | L15 < L16 | L13 < L14 |
Then transfer these
| R16 > R17 | R14 > R16 |
| R3 < R2 | R5 < R3 |
| L3 > L2 | L5 > L3 |
| L16 < L17 | L14 < L16 |
And then do these transfers
| R12 > R15 | R11 > R13 | R10 > R11 |
| R7 < R5 | R8 < R7 |
Last Transfers are as follows
| L7 > L5 | L8 > L7 | |
| L12 < L15 | L11 < L13 | L10 < L11 |
{You may want to hang your weights on the center of the fan
just before transferring all the stitches.}
K 4 rows
Repeat all the transfers and 4 rows until done.
