Make a 2nd arm
Tail (Cut and Sew)
Using 1 color green, cast on 60 stitches
Use whatever punch card you prefer, I did use my
#1 card with weaving a 2nd color green
Knit 70 or as many rows needed
You do need to make and cut out the template for
the tail, just measure the bottom of the doll top and then just draw
it from there, as you see, my tail is not symmetrical, but it works
What I did was fold the material in half, pin the
paper pattern to one side and then with my sewing machine, sew a
small stitch (about 20 stitches to the inch) or use a serger to not
only serge around the template but also cut off the excess. If
you only use a sewing machine, then cut around the outside of the
sewn part
Turn right side out
Stuff body top and tail, then sew the tail in
place
Embroider or sew on eyes and a mouth
With hair color yarn, cut as many lengths as you
need, sew down the center of them but also sew that in place on the
top of the head. If you want as I did, glue some of the hair
down in place
If you want to make a doll with legs, then probably
knit more than the 15 rows as in Step 2 and 14 of the body doll and make
2 more arms. Sew the leg up the seam, stuff it and put in place at
the bottom of the doll body top. But then now you will need to
make clothes for this doll also. That is another video in the
making
