Mitts for the Family

LK150 using # 3 yarn.
Rib dial # 5 hand dial #3.5

This pattern is for women (men's) hand size
Palm 3 1/2” (5)” across, thumb 2 1/2” (3)” full length from wrist to finger tips 9” (10)”

E-wrap 43 (47) stitches
Rib 25 rows. (# 5)
Knit (55) rows (# 3)
On row 45 (55) decrease 3 stitch, left for left mitt, on right side for right mitt

Top of mitt
Put 20 (22) stitches on holding position on left for left mitt, on right for right mitt
Short row and reverse short row on same side as 3 decreased stitches.
20 stitches 7-6-7 22 stitches (7-8-7)
Bind off stitches

Thumb
E-wrap 18 stitches, leaving center needle at 'A' position. (19 needles)
Push out center needle to holding position, knit 3 rows.
Rib center stitch, and knit 20 (25) rows, decrease each side until 1 stitch
Remove from machine
Thumb is attached to second row above cuff. Point side at cuff. Stitch up mitt

Make sure you do short row and reverse short rows on opposite side, one for left hand and one for right hand
