Knit 12 rows and reform to rib

Knit 16 rows of Stockinet

*Bring every 4^th needle out to HP, set carriage to Hold

With CC yarn, Knit 4 rows of tuck

With MY in, put carriage back to normal knit and knit 10 rows* (or work maybe 6 rows instead)

Now starting with 7^th needle from the end, move every 4^th needle out to HP, set carriage to Hold

With CC yarn, knit 4 rows

Knit 10 rows

Repeat from * to * one more time

Then decrease for the top of the hat as you would for the crown

Or knit up about dozen more rows, and move EOS to the neighbor needle, put empty needles out of work and knit 2 or 3 rows, gather bind off
