This is what I did in the video

SHAPED HOOD

  1. Cast on 114 stitches in WY, using TD1 and open edge method. Work 6 rows, ending COR. Change to MY.
  2. Folded front band. Work even for 24 rows. To complete the band, graft the cast-on stitches to the last row worked. RC 000.
  3. Change to TD2 with Stocking stitch and work 5 rows. Dec 1 stitch at each end of next row, then every following 2nd row 12 times, until 88 stitches remain. Knit to row 36, excluding front band.
  4. Cast off 33 stitches at beg of next 2 rows. Work even on remaining 22 stitches for 40 rows, total 78 rows, excluding front band. Cast off loosely
Sew the bound off edge to the sides of the back piece, weave in any yarn tails

Here is Part one showing how I made the Hood

For the Scat, I just took 25 stitches from each side and worked up the Mock Seed Stitch or Mock 1X1 rib using the #1 punch card and set the cam to tuck and knitted up 90 rows.

And here is Part 2 with the Scarf but also with attaching a Scarf to a Hat to make the Scat
