I used a cone of Peaches and Cream Cotton Coned yarn
Cast on with your machine per your manual for tubular knitting, with as many stitches you want. I did cast on 25 stitches on both beds as per the Full Needle Rib
Hang your ribber comb and set up the carriages to work Tubular and just keep it that way
Knit 20 rows on the counter (will be 10 tubular rows)
Keeping the end 4 or 5 stitches plain knit, transfer Every Other Stitch over to the next needle for the rest of the needles in between
I did knit 170 rows on the counter (that is actually 85 rounds knitted tubular)
I then brought back the empty needles back into work
I then knitted the same 10 tubular (20 rows on the counter) rows as the bottom of the bag
Now you can bind off the gate peg bind off on the knitter but for me to do the same on the ribber would be more work, so I just knitted the work off on Waste Yarn and then put a circular needle into the last round of the cotton yarn. I then hand bound off the last row. For those that do not hand knit and you take the bag off the machine, you can just crochet through the last row of loops to do an easy hand bind off.
Now I hung one side of the bag back onto 8 needles, knitted 1 row across the knitter. I then transferred half the stitches onto the ribber to work up 1X1 rib. I then knitted 50 rows, bound off those stitches and sewn that to the other side of the bag.
Weave in any yarn tails and your ready to go shopping, would be nice to make more than one but also a great gift to make for others or sell the item if you please
Cast on as many stitches as you want, I did 60 stitches on the Bond Knitting Machine
Knit 10 rows
Now keeping 4 or 5 stitches on the ends full, transfer Every Other Stitch over to the next needle to create a lacy effect but also for the bag to be stretchy
Knit 40 or 50 rows (again your choice of how many rows)
Bring the empty needles into work and knit 20 rows for the bottom
Again keeping the 4 or 5 stitches on the ends full, transfer EOS over to the next needle
Knit the same 40 or 50 rows as before
Bring the empty needles into work and knit 10 rows and bind off
Sew the side seams
Hang one side and knit up as many rows as needed for your handle, either hang that onto the other side and knit one more row or bind off and sew into place
Weave in any yarn tails and your ready to go shopping, would be nice to make more than one but also a great gift to make for others or sell the item if you please
