Baby Sleeper SIZE: Newborn and 3-6 months

MATERIALS: Approx 6-8 oz 3 ply sport yarn.

TENSION: 5 on the mid-gauge.  This garment is knitted from the neck down.

BACK AND FRONT ARE KNITTED IDENTICALLY: E-wrap cast on 30 (40) stitches. At the beg on every row inc 1 stitch by pulling 1 N into B position on the Carr side.

After row 6 has been knitted, work 1 row of eyelets by transferring every 3rd N to the next N. (This can be done with the lace carriage. push every 3rd N to D-pos.

Hang claw weights into knitting or pull down gently on knitting and push lace carriage across.) Remove lace carriage from needle bed and place on extension rail.

Cont knitting inc at the beg of each row until you have 84 (106) stitches, reset RC 000. Knit even to row 191 (21l).
Work another eyelet row same as above. Knit even to row 200 (220).

Bind off Work a second piece same as first.

SLEEVES. E-wrap cast on 6 (12) stitches. K 1 row. carriage is now on left side Pick up l of the 2 pieces knitted previously, purl side facing you.

Pick up first loop (which was formed by increasing and hang this loop on the first Empty needle to the right of your knitting.

Knit to right.

Pick up 2nd piece knitted previously, also purl side facing you.

Pick up the first loop and hang on first empty needle on the left side of knitting.

Knit to left continue knitting, picking up l loop at a time and hang onto the first empty needle next to knitting.

Work an eyelet row after row 6 has been knitted.

Cont knitting and increasing by hanging loops until you have 60 (78) stitches.

Reset RC 000. Knit even to row 7l (81).

Work another eyelet row.

Knit even to row 75 (85).

Bind off. Block lightly Sew sleeves and side seams.

Knit 4 cords or use satin ribbon to pull through eyelets.


Newborn Baby Sleeper for the Bulky

TENSION: 7 on the Bulky. 4 stitches and 5½ rows: l " This garment is knitted from the neck down.

BACK AND FRONT ARE KNITTED IDENTICALLY. E-wrap cast on 20 stitches. K 1 row At the beg on every row inc l stitch by pulling 1 N into B position on the carriage side.

After row 5 has been knitted, work 1 row of eyelets by transferring every 3rd N to the next N.

Cont knitting inc at the beg of each row until you have 40 stitches. Knit even to row 136.

Work another eyelet row same as above. Knit even to row 14 I Bind off Work a second piece same as first.

SLEEVES. E-wrap cast on 2 stitches. K l row. Carr is now on left side.

Pick up l of the 2 pieces knitted previously, purl side facing you.

Pick up first loop (which was formed by increasing and hang this loop on the first empty needle to the right of your knitting. Knit to right.

Pick up 2nd piece knitted previously also purl side facing you.

Pick up the first loop and hang on first empty needle on the left side of knitting. Knit to left.

Continue knitting, picking up 1 loop at a time and hang onto the first Empty needle next to knitting.

Work and eyelet after row 6 has been knitted. Cont knitting and increasing by hanging loops until you have 2 stitches.

Knit even to row 59. Work another eyelet row. Knit even to row 64.

Bind off.
