Twisting yarns together

For easy hats, I have taken my Daruma yarn twister and twisted 2 colors of yarn to make this hat.

Then I had taken 3 colors and twisted them with my new electric yarn winder with my shelf that I use to twist up to 3 plies of yarn to make a new yarn, and it looks very similar to the Daruma Yarn Twisted yarn.  Now the Daruma twister will be hard to come by, but the new Kris Krafter has the same yarn twister.  But the Daruma will also be just a winder with the center piece taken out. Now I have other winders so don't need to do that, but for anyone that don't have a lot of space may find that the Daruma winder/twister may be a better choice for them to have.

Now here is hat #2 that I used my electric winder and with this shelf thing to twist the yarns together.

Click on the 4 arrows to view in Full Screen, then press your Esc key to go back to normal page view.

Now before I had taken my plain winder and just wound 2 colors together and this is what happened.  Not always will they look like this, all depends on the yarn being wound together.

I have made many baby hats (lost count of how many) for the different hospitals and now for Christmas gifts in my area. I directly donate them as why would someone allow another to take credit for the items that they made for donations. I hear of some people taking the items that were to be donated and another will sell them, not only for the increase of the money in their pockets but also for their name to be put with them. There are a handful of deceitful people in the world and I am not one to sit back and let anyone take the credit that I deserve.
