Wavy Lace

Here is the chart I used for the lace text version below

Here is the Excel spreadsheet or Open Office format I used under the bulky knitting machine needles (for the 6.5mm mid-gauge machines Excel spreadsheet or Open Office format), cut them out to fit under the needles you need to work up this lace and slip under the needles so you can see the section of 6 needles (if you cannot slip it under the needles, just remove the sponge bar enough to do so, then put sponge bar back in)

Remember, you can change the 6 to any number, the transfers will be more but sure you knew that anyways

If anyone does up this spreadsheet for any other machine, I would like to know so that I can put it here for those with that gauge machine, thanks in advance to anyone that can do that for me.

Here is the text version of the chart

  1. First you want to mark your needles in sections of 6, then add 2 stitches to the ends
  2. Cast on and knit 2 rows
  3. Next take the stitch from needle 5 and move to needle 6 and then move those two stitches back to needle 5.
  4. On the left side, take the outside stitch and move to the right and then move those 2 stitches back to the end needle.
  5. Knit 2 rows.
  6. Next take the stitch from needle 4 and move to needle 5 and then move the stitches from needles 5 and 6 and move them one over to the left
  7. On the left side, take the outside stitch and move to the right and then move those 2 stitches back to the end needle.
  8. Knit 2 rows.
  9. Now take the stitch from needle 3 and move to needle 4, and then take the stitches from needles 4, 5 and 6 and move them over to the left one needle.
  10. On the left side, take the outside stitch and move to the right and then move those 2 stitches back to the end needle.
  11. Knit 2 rows.
  12. Next take the stitch from needle 2 and move it over to needle 3, and then take the stitches from needles 3, 4, 5 and 6 and move them one over to the left.
  13. On the left side, take the outside stitch and move to the right and then move those 2 stitches back to the end needle.
  14. Knit 2 rows.
  15. Now for the last set of transfers to complete the design, is take the stitch from needle 1 and move over to needle 2, then take the stitches from needles 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and move them over to the left one needle.
  16. On the left side, take the outside stitch and move to the right and then move those 2 stitches back to the end needle.
  17. Knit 2 rows.

That is it, you just repeat that for as long as you need.

Here I changed the colors every 10 rows, so to me it sort of resembles a candy cane

Here is the chart for the set of 8 Push Button knitting machines

Here is the 24 stitch Punch Card, the red hearts would be if you can get your lace carriage to transfer over 2 stitches from the right to left as I couldn't get that to work all the time and just hand transferred those stitches

Or if you want, here is an excel file with the 2 sheets of the charts above

The 12 stitch repeat card would be 108 rows, that could take me some time to get that chart up but check back when you can as you may miss it if you don't.
